In cherished memory of Ernest Albert, affectionately known as “BUG” Rutherford Jr, we gather to honor and celebrate the life of an extraordinary individual whose illuminated the lives of those around him with love, wisdom, and unwavering faith. Renowned for his remarkable ability to forge deep connections with people from all walks of life, Ernest left an indelible mark on everyone fortunate enough to cross his path. As a devoted “Girl Dad” he embraced fatherhood with passion and dedication, nurturing his children's dreams and aspirations. As an avid sports enthusiast, he took great joy in sharing his extensive knowledge of basketball, football, and track with his early college students, coaching them not only in the skills of the game but also instilled valuable life lessons. His brave fight against Multiple Myeloma served as a testament to his incredible strength and resilience. Through this challenging journey, he inspired countless individuals, demonstrating how one person's spirit and determination can create a ripple effect of hope and inspiration in the lives of many. Ernest's legacy is a powerful reminder of the profound impact one person can have on the hearts and minds of others, leaving a lasting influence that will be felt for years to come.
